First picture of the vineyard after planting all 200 vines.
Sunday 27th of May, just put up a temporarily electrical fence.
This will later on be completed with a net.
A total of ten rows with 20 vines in each, 125 Rondo and 75 Solaris.
This is the first steps of a big change at the Domaine. In the future you will be able to rent an apartment in one of the barns, together with a chance to try wild boar hunting.
Perfect lines.
Hope the finished wine will be the same:)

We drilled holes about 30-40 cm. deep. Then we planted them with a handful of potting soil and a bamboo stick, having trimmed the roots by about 5cm.

Planting them one by one, by hand, no magical tricks

This is my father and my son, planting the first vine (Rondo) at Domaine I.S-E.J

This is four pictures that captures the first day
rather well. Drilling a lot of holes with the help of a tractor, standing on a trailer and smashing down poles with a sledgehammer. And then to be able to observe the birth of Domaine I.S-E.J.

Over the first to days we placed 108 poles for the wirering and fence. We have to be able to protect our dream from venison, rabbits and wild boar. Or at least try to...

We started of prepering the field by harrowing the soil. Afterwards, we measured out where we would drill holes for our plants and poles. We have a distance of 1m. between the plants and  1,4m. between the rows.

These are pictures of the first day of drilling for the poles. It was the 25th of May 2012 and it was about 30 degrees celcius. A hard day of work for two people.
